Be the Church
We are all called to be the church to others inside and outside of our local congregation. Our relationship with and devotion to God leads us to loving others. While this can happen in every daily encounter, we also have a few things we do as a congregation to love our community, nation, and world.
Each Sunday School class has a Be Coordinator (care leader) and a ministry they partner with. Talk to your class’s Be Love Coordinator to find out how your group is being the church.
Taste of Hope
Each month we serve a different local community ministry or need by bringing specified items on the last Sunday of the month. Watch the bulletin, website, or facebook for details on each month’s Give Love. A few local ministries we help with include: Brown bag buddies at John Jones Elementary, giving shoes to students in need at West End Elementary, giving school supplies to Hopkins Mission, gifts to Operation Christmas Child, and more.
12th Street has gone national. Nationally we partner for at least three years with another church through an annual mission trip, prayer, and finding other ways to meet their needs as they arise. Currently we are partnering with Christ Centered Church in Miami, FL. Check below for mission trip opportunities in Miami.
12th Street has also gone global. Globally we partner with IMB missionaries through prayer, care, and an annual trip to help out in various ways including medical, evangelistic, and service trips. We are currently partnering with Children's Hope in Haiti as well as missionaries in Scotland and Indonesia. Be on the lookout for mission trip opportunities with these partners!
Mission Trip Opportunities
12th Street would love to have everyone participate in a short-term mission trip. The next opportunity will be posted here soon, so check back often.
